This is the perfect place to enjoy some of the best paintings produced in the Renaissance period, with incredible works including Madonna Enthroned with Saints by Giampietrino.
Visit one of the city’s museums for a memorable day trip. The Natural History Museum is free every Friday afternoon, so pay a visit then if you’re looking to have cheap holidays in Milan. This is Italy’s most comprehensive overview of the history of life on earth. It was founded in 1838 when Giuseppe de Cristoforis donated his collections to the city and hosted a variety of different research and teaching activities for visitors and students to enjoy. The museum offers two and a half million animal specimens, some of which are millions of years old. There will be an area that will interest everyone here, with the museum split up into different areas including paleontology, zoology and minerals.
